R.E.M. Drummer Suffers Brain Hemorrhage

R.E.M. drummer Bill Berry underwent surgery in Switzerland for a brain hemorrhage Friday and was expected to make a “full and speedy recovery,” the rock band’s record company said.
Berry, 36, fell ill with an acute headache 90 minutes into an R.E.M. concert Wednesday night in Lausanne, Switzerland, and was taken to a hospital.
